Abstract

The tourist and recreational branch takes the leading place in the Program of social and economic development of Adyghea. Scientific justification of the development strategy of the branch bases on assessment of the current state of a recreation on territories and prospects of its development. The work presents the results of the analysis of a possibility of complex recreational development of the region and the results of division into districts—allocation of the promising territorial recreational systems (TRS) differing in usefulness of an environment and factors of development of the recreational sphere.

We assess the current state of a recreation on the territory and determine prospects of its development by analyzing a possibility of complex recreational development. For division into districts, we allocate the territorial recreational systems (TRS) differing in specifics of an environment and factors of development of the recreational sphere.

The high value of natural criteria in complex assessment and division into districts of recreational resources of Adyghea, the complexity and versatility of combinations of these criteria have caused need of the choice of a landscape basis as the spatial-temporal system defining structure of recreational space. The landscape ecological approach in recreational division into districts in combination with geoinformation methods is capable to provide operational management and actualization of coordinated information and assessment of recreational resources of the region to the level of locations and municipal units.

To ensure multidimensional involvement of tourist resources in economic life of the region, we have made a complex assessment of its recreational potential and marked out the hierarchy of TRS belonging to it. We examined components of assessment of relevant and perspective management of recreational resources of the region for support of sustainable and diversified management. We have made the landscape and ecological assessment of tourist and recreational capacity of the mountain region and classified the hierarchy of territorial recreational systems. Information component of recreation resources encompasses the following blocks: natural and ecological, recreation objects, social and cultural, infrastructure of hospitality, objects and actions of informative and entertaining character and data on travel agencies. The structure of the database supports the layer-by-layer organization of coordinate data providing search for objects and their cartographical visualization. We differentiated all the collected data on recreational resources both by types and by the designated search parameters. The attributive characteristic of each object of recreation contains approximately 10 positions characterizing its state status, specialization, parameters of the recreational importance, a permissible load, service infrastructure, etc. Using the integrated assessment of the selective and localizing factors, we distinguished the hierarchy of TRS of Adyghea by specialization and concentration of tourist recreational facilities, by profitableness of an environment of landscapes and by quality of infrastructure of recreation.

The geographic information system of relevant and promising development of recreational resources of the region increases effective management of branch as a result of identification of economic feasibility of involvement in recreational use of perspective TRS.
