Proceedings of the International conference “InterCarto. InterGIS”

The Proceedings includes articles presented at the International conference InterCarto. InterGIS. It is the only annual international conference held in Russia in the field of GIS for sustainable development of territories.

The conference is held annually since 1994. Since 2002 it takes place partly in Russia, partly abroad. Given the experience of holding conferences in such countries as Russia, Colombia, China, etc., where a large percentage of participants prefer to make their speeches in native languages since 2014 conference proceedings contain articles in the six official languages of the UN, despite the difficulty of their review.

In the materials are considered theoretical and methodical aspects of GIS support of environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainable development, development of geoinformatics, cartography, remote sensing, environmental sustainability and evaluation of the impact on the environment. Also discusses the possibilities of biodiversity and nature protection mapping, development of mobile GIS, the creation of virtual geographic environments and the experience of their application.

The materials from 1994 to 2012 is presented in the section History of the Conference, and since 2013 — in the section Archives.
