Abstract

The paper deals with the phenomenon of «Digital Earth» as a concept that can be used in teaching, and, on the other hand, as a fundamentally new phenomenon that needs special education to work with them. The article analyzes the experience of using «Digital Earth» in education. It considers the need for specialized training to work with raster images, collaborative creation of data, training in the use of diverse data sets and analysis of the dynamics of processes in time to ensure sustainable development.
