Abstract

The mesoterritorial (a large city with its suburbs) is the primary territorial basis, which can ensure an ecological balance level when the ecological carcass of a large city is being formed. The stage of urbanization, indicating the natural trend in the change of the urban and intercity open space, determines the inclusion of particular landscapes into the structure of the urban ecological carcass.
