Abstract
The article presents approaches to the creation of a special interdisciplinary Atlas “Great Altai: nature, history, culture”. The main purpose of the Atlas of Great Altai as a way to provide access of the international community to reliable, current and accurate spatial information on the transboundary Great Altai region. Considers the conditions conducive to the development of the original maps, the main sections of its structure: nature, history, culture, and the main themes of the series title sections.
