Abstract
Many Russian reserves feel lack of accurate and up-to-date information about their territories. Modern Geoinformatics science provides significant possibilities for studying spatial connections of various processes and objects. In this paper, making of the plant associations map is presented, study area – part of the territory of S.V.Marakov Commander reserve. The making of the map was based on field observations and interpretation of ETM+ imagery. Data acquired during field observations were used as signatures for imagery classification. As the result, we revealed 4 different plant associations all over the study area.
